Willie Nelson is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and actor whose many honors include seven Grammys -- with a Legend Award and Lifetime Achievement Award being two of them -- seven Country Music Awards including Album of the Year in 1976 for “Wanted -- The Outlaws” and in 1982 for “Always on My Mind.” Nelson’s career spans more than 35 years and 100 albums. Even outside the realm of Texas music, this Abbott, Texas, native is a music icon. His latest work, “Willie Nelson & Friends: Live & Kickin,” is a collection of songs recorded with popular artists, including Norah Jones, Eric Clapton and Shania Twain. Nelson remains one of the hardest working and best-loved entertainers in the music business and is seemingly always on the road.
