In 2003, Wesley Curley (W.C.) Clark, won his third W.C. Handy Blues Award for Blues Song Of The Year for “Let It Rain” off of his album, “From Austin with Soul.” In addition, Clark also won the Best Blues Band Award at the 2003 Austin Music Awards. As the “The Godfather of Austin Blues,” Clark, an Austin native, has been playing and singing the blues for 48 years and began recording professionally in 1986. His latest album from Alligator Records, “From Austin with Soul,” is a mix of modern Texas blues, searing guitar and Memphis-style vocals.
