Clubs, Stages & Performance Venues

The best places for live music in the state are joining the Texas Music Project to benefit music education in local schools. Watch for great shows by great Texas artists at these clubs, performance halls and festivals throughout the year. Blue Hills at Roundtop

Located just minutes away from downtown Round Top (population 77) 15 miles north of La Grange, one hour from Austin and Houston, Blue hills at Roundtop is an exciting new 16 acre multi purpose venue! Customers find Blue Hills at Round Top flexible and charming! Blue Hills provides visitors with a unique opportunity to experience the warmth of Texas Hill Country as well as the sophistication of its many amenities. Blue Hills has four enclosed pavilions, which may be used in a variety of ways, including, vendor booths, picnics, corporate meeting, dances and more!


Antones, Austin

Home of the blues in Austin, Antone's hosts all kinds of acts from Ian Moore to Bob Schneider to Kelly Willis to Veruca Salt. An Austin institution, Antone's is known for giving Texas artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan their start.


Bass Performance Hall, Fort Worth

The crown jewel of downtown Fort Worth, David Langford of the Associated Press calls it, "…the Carnegie Hall of Cowtown, the last great concert hall of the 20th century, a monument to the classics just as Billy Bob's giant honky-tonk across town is a citadel of country." And it's one great place to hear live Texas music.


City of Grapevine "GrapeFest"

Join wine novices and connoisseurs at one of the largest wine festivals in America. Sample award winning Texas and international wines. And listen to great live music at five stages, including the Texas Music Project stage featuring Texas singers & songwriters. Uncork the fun at GrapeFest. Held annually the 2nd full weekend in September.


Gilley's Dallas

Gilley's is "plugging the bull back in"! Opening in late summer just south of the convention center, Gilley's Dallas will include one of the country's finest live performance venues and feature a wide variety of music. The original mechanical bull will be located in the nightclub, as will a 2000 capacity showroom with intimate seating and quality views from every seat.


Gruene Hall, New Braunfels

Texas' Oldest Dance Hall, Gruene Hall is about as legendary as they come. Gruene Hall has live music 7 days a week during the summer months and 3-4 days a week the rest of the year, including Saturday and Sunday afternoons.


Gypsy Tea Room, Dallas

It's been said that attending a concert at the Gypsy Tea Room was like going to Sons of Herman Hall two decades ago, if it were located at the corner of Nashville's Music Row and Sixth Street in Austin. The club not only brought in some of the best acts in the country, but it did so with a great sense of class and style. We'll miss the Gypsy Tea Room.


NextStage, Grand Prairie

Since its 2002 opening, NextStage at Grand Prairie has been setting a new standard in live entertainment. Located between Dallas and Fort Worth, NextStage has featured such artists as Coldplay, Santana, Norah Jones and the EAGLES. The 6,350-seat venue has been referred to by touring acts as "the theater of the future" and offers state-of-the-art acoustics and lighting and delivers the most intimate live performances experience.
