The Texas Music Project is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization committed to helping nonprofits
optimize their impact on the communities they serve through the design and implementation of appropriate for-profit
marketing disciplines. The Texas Music Project serves to demonstrate to nonprofits the benefits that marketing can yield.
The Texas Coalition for Quality Arts Education
is a statewide, nonprofit service organization. The coalition includes more than 30 arts and education organizations throughout the state,
including Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Coalition for Music Education, Texas Alliance for Education and the Arts and Texans
for the Arts. The Texas Coalition for Quality Arts Education will work with the Texas Music Educators Association to help define music
education needs and provide grassroots support and fundraising for the Texas Music Project.
Founded in 1920 as the Texas Band Teachers Association, the
Texas Music Educators Association is comprised of more than 8,000 school music educators united by one common goal - to
support music education. For the Texas Music Project, the association will lead efforts to define music education needs and programs for
Texas schools, and provide grassroots support and fundraising for the Texas Music Project.
Established in 1965 by the Texas Legislature, the
Texas Commission on the Arts was founded to develop a receptive climate for the arts in Texas. The commision will ensure
fair and equitable disbusement of Texas Music Project grants, and provide administrative assistance and grassroots support for the Texas Music Project.
